Cookie Policy

Last updated 2026-06-14

This page explains what cookies and similar technologies ONTHEBIAS uses, why we use them, and how you can control them. For the broader picture of how we handle your data, see our Privacy Policy.

1. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small file a website stores on your device to remember things between visits - for example, that you're signed in. We also use similar technologies like localStorage for the same purposes.

2. Categories we use

  • Necessary. Authentication session, security tokens, and load balancing. Without these the site can't run. Can't be turned off.
  • Preferences. Embedded tools that remember conversations (like our WhatsApp widget), language selection, dismissed banners.
  • Analytics. Anonymous usage events written to our own database so we can see which features are useful. We do not share this data with third parties.
  • Marketing. The Meta (Facebook/Instagram) pixel. It reports page views and conversions (sign-ups, subscriptions) to Meta so we can measure our advertising and show relevant ads. On by default; you can opt out any time below. In the EU, EEA, UK, Switzerland and Brazil we load it only after you opt in.

3. Third parties

The platform currently uses a small number of third parties:
  • Supabase - authentication + database. Sets a session cookie when you sign in. Necessary.
  • Stripe - checkout. You're redirected to checkout.stripe.com which sets its own cookies on that domain (governed by Stripe's privacy policy).
  • Meta (Facebook/Instagram) - advertising. Loads by default (opt out any time below; in the EU/EEA/UK/Switzerland/Brazil only after you opt in). We also send conversion events (sign-up, subscription) to Meta server-side via the Conversions API, with your email hashed before it is sent. Governed by Meta's data policy.
  • Vercel - hosting. Sets a routing cookie. Necessary.
  • Sentry - error tracking. Captures stack traces without setting identifying cookies.

4. How long we keep cookies

The consent choice is stored for one year, after which we ask again. Necessary cookies generally expire when your session ends or after 30 days. Preference cookies last until you clear them.

5. Manage your choices

You can change your cookie preferences any time:
