Who qualifies for Education pricing?+
Students, professors, technical instructors, and staff at any accredited fashion / design / textile / industrial-design program worldwide. We verify via your school email - .edu (US), .ac.uk (UK), .edu.cn (China), .ac.jp (Japan), .edu.in (India), .edu.au (Australia), .edu.br (Brazil), and 35+ other country-specific school domains.
What if my school doesn't use a .edu-style email?+
Two paths. (1) If you're an individual student and your school issues generic email (gmail.com or similar), sign up for the Designer tier ($59/mo) and ask your school to enable an institutional license so we can flag your account for the Education rate retroactively. (2) If you represent an institution that wants to license seats for a whole program, go through Talk to admissions about bulk seats - we provision the whole department in one contract.
Can I keep my work after I graduate?+
Yes. Your account, your brand DNA, your generated tech packs, your project history - all yours, permanently. When you graduate, your account stays on Education pricing until your next renewal, then converts to Designer ($59/mo). If you set up your own brand right out of school, your Brand DNA library is already built and ready to keep producing on day one of your business.
Is there a bulk plan for my whole department?+
Yes - institutional licenses are sales-led. JD Institute (40+ campuses in India) is the template. Pricing depends on seat count and contract length; we work with administrators, IT, and procurement to provision the whole department in one contract. Use Talk to admissions about bulk seats to start the conversation.
Does OTB replace Illustrator / CLO3D / Browzwear in coursework?+
It augments them rather than replacing. OTB is the AI-native layer that turns "I have an idea" into a factory-ready tech pack in minutes. Illustrator stays the right tool for editing flat-sketch SVGs by hand. CLO3D + Browzwear stay the right tools for 3D fit simulation. OTB handles the design-to-spec translation that those professional tools assume you already did manually.
Can my professor see my work?+
Today, share-link URLs let you send any tech pack to a professor for review (no OTB login required on their end). A classroom dashboard with built-in critique threads is on the V2 roadmap.
Is the credit grant enough to finish a full project per month?+
For most coursework, yes. 600 credits / month covers a typical sequence of ~5 mockups + ~6 flat sketches + 1 full factory-ready tech pack PDF, plus colorway exploration. Heavy weeks (mid-semester) carry over into lighter weeks since credits roll over forever.
Does Education pricing include EU DPP / compliance features?+
Every tech pack OTB produces is structurally EU DPP-ready (fiber composition, country of manufacture, recycled content, care instructions). Education and Designer tiers both ship the core compliance fields; the dedicated multi-market compliance docs generator (US / EU / UK / Japan / China / Brazil / India / Australia care-label set) is available as a per-market credit charge on any tier.
