자주 묻는 질문.
가입 전 브랜드가 묻는 모든 것에 대한 간략한 답변. 공장 FAQ를 찾고 계신가요? 여기에 있습니다.
What does ONTHEBIAS actually do?+
OTB sits between "I have a design idea" and "a supplier can make this." You chat with OBIE (our AI design partner), generate mockups, flat sketches, and tech packs, then send the spec to suppliers for quotes - all in one place.
Who is this for?+
Independent designers, emerging brands, and small-batch makers who want production-grade output without the agency overhead. Also established brands that want to move faster on new collections.
Do I need to be a trained designer to use OTB?+
No. OBIE walks you through prompts, suggests directions, and handles the technical translation. If you can describe what you want, you can ship a tech pack.
Is there a free trial?+
New workspaces get 20 starter credits on signup - enough to generate a few mockups and explore. Paid plans add a monthly grant and unlock the marketplace.
What is OBIE?+
OBIE is the AI design partner inside every project. It asks the right questions to refine your brief, generates mockups and flat sketches, and knows when to push back on an idea that won't produce well.
Can I bring my own moodboard, photos, or past designs?+
Yes. Upload reference images to your Brand profile and OBIE pulls from them when generating new directions. This is the fastest way to lock in your aesthetic.
How do regenerations work?+
Every generation is a credit. You can iterate freely - change the prompt, swap a color, refine a silhouette - and OBIE preserves the parts you said you liked. Iterations stay linked so the lineage is visible.
Why does the AI sometimes get garments wrong?+
Image-generation models are strongest on common silhouettes (tees, hoodies, dresses) and weakest on technical or highly novel construction. If a generation misses, refine the prompt or sketch the shape and let OBIE rebuild from your sketch.
How do credits work?+
Credits are the universal currency for every AI action. Subscriptions include a monthly grant; you can also buy packs at any time. Credits never expire and all credits land in the same pool.
What does each action cost?+
Mockup or flat sketch: 1 credit. Upload-to-flat: 2 credits. Pattern: 4 credits. 3D render upgrade: 5 credits. Tech pack PDF: 8 credits. OBIE chat is free within fair use.
Can I cancel anytime?+
Yes. Cancel from Account → Billing. You keep your unused credits forever and can still log in to access your projects.
Do you offer team or workspace plans?+
Yes. Invite teammates from Account → Team. Workspace plans share a credit pool and library across everyone with access.
What's in an OTB tech pack?+
Cover sheet, flat sketches (front + back), measurements, BOM, stitch specs, construction notes, care + finishing, packaging. The PDF is built to be sent straight to a supplier.
Can I export to my own format?+
You get a downloadable PDF and a shareable read-only link. Native Adobe Illustrator and structured JSON exports are on the roadmap.
Are tech packs reviewed by a human?+
Not by default - the AI produces them. For high-stakes pieces (complex tailoring, technical outerwear), you can request a human review from your project page.
How does the supplier marketplace work?+
When your tech pack is ready, OTB matches you to suppliers based on garment type, quantity, region, and capability. You send an RFQ (request for quote) to as many suppliers as you want and the platform routes responses back to you.
How are suppliers chosen?+
Every supplier is either curated from our network or applied through /factory/signup and was approved by us. We verify business identity, capability claims, and at least one reference where possible.
Do you take a cut of the order?+
No. ONTHEBIAS takes 0% commission - the full price you accept goes to the supplier, who keeps 100%. A standard payment-processing fee is added at checkout (it covers card / ACH / wire costs), and suppliers pay nothing to list. We make our money on subscriptions and credits, not a take-rate on your production.
Can I bring my own supplier?+
Yes. Invite an existing supplier partner to claim a profile and you can send RFQs and run production through them on the platform.
How do samples work?+
After a supplier accepts your RFQ, you request a physical sample through the project. The supplier makes it, ships it, and you log QC notes + photos. You can request additional iterations from the same supplier or move on.
What happens after I approve a sample?+
Approving a sample is the production go-ahead signal. The supplier submits a final quote, you pay through OTB, and the order moves into production. Status updates land in your Orders tab.
How long does production take?+
Typical lead times: 4-6 weeks for basics, 6-8 weeks for tailored or lined garments, 8+ weeks for outerwear or technical pieces. Suppliers publish their own lead-time bucket on their profile.
Do I own what I design on ONTHEBIAS?+
Yes. Every flat sketch, mockup, tech pack, print, label, and packaging design you make here is yours. Download, license, modify, sell - your IP.
Who can see what's in my workspace?+
Only people you invite. Workspaces are isolated at the database layer - no other user can see in. OTB staff can only access your data while resolving a support ticket or security incident, and every access is logged in your account for you to review.
How are my files stored and shared?+
Files are encrypted at rest. Asset URLs inside the studio are 15-minute signed links tied to your session. Share links you create (tech packs, lookbooks, supplier handoffs) expire after 30 days and can be revoked from your account instantly.
Do suppliers see my full brand profile?+
No. Suppliers see only the RFQ - the garment spec, quantity, target country, and match rationale. Your brand name, logo, and unrelated projects are not exposed.
Where is ONTHEBIAS based?+
ONTHEBIAS, INC. is a Delaware corporation operating from San Francisco. The supplier network is global.
